If you like chocolate, then Brussels will not disappoint you. The Belgian capital has an abundance of chocolate shops that will cater to your every wish. In the Royal Galleries from 1846 you will find shops of all the important chocolate brands of Belgium. Here we will visit a chocolate workshop that will show you how all these sweet delights are produced. We then leave the center and continue our discovery of Brussels by bus. We will see the beautiful Cinquantenaire Parc with the Triumphal Arch with a stop and continue onto the very heart of Europe (European district) with splendid Art Nouveau style houses from the architect Victor Horta. From there we will continue to the Royal area (Royal Palace) and Sablon square (home to many antique dealers) and from the lovely Royal square with the Fine Arts museums you have a magnificent view of downtown (tower of the City Hall and Basilica of Koekelberg) where we finish our trip of Brussels.
A stay in Brussels is the perfect occasion to visit Holland, a country so nearby and yet so different. On our way to Amsterdam we will pass by the beautiful countryside, its polders and its windmills. Before our arrival in Amsterdam, we will get an introduction in the secrets of cheese making at a typical cheese farm, followed by a tasting and a photo opportunity near a renovated windmill. Passing by Holland’s National Bank and the well-known Heineken pub, we will continue our visit of Amsterdam’s city center, where an optional boat tour awaits you. Next, the tour will take us to the Royal Palace of the Dam, the red light district and several shopping opportunities.
